Torp is the first child of Estrella, a mare that we rescued many years ago when her hip was broken and she was going to be sacrificed. Estrella recovered herself, and although the veterinarians told us that she could not have foals because of her crooked hip, she was the mother of this black, precious, and full-fledgling foal who was born free and strong in June of 2015 .
Torp is a very calm foal that, once his small fear of humans has been overtaken, he lets himself be caressed and he is very receptive.
We operated Torp a few months ago so there is no imbalance between the herds.
We will see if he ends up emancipating himself and integrating into the herd of single males or continues living with his mother and linked to his great herd.
